The Social Security System on Wednesday encouraged Congress to make participation required for the evaluated 10 million Filipinos working abroad.
Just around 10 percent of OFWs are SSS individuals, leaving the rest without annuity or advantages when they resign or get weakened, said the store's senior VP, Judy See.
The SSS has 22 remote workplaces that can get commitments from abroad Filipinos. The base commitment from OFWs will be set at P550 every month, the same with neighborhood individuals, See said.
Bringing OFWs into the SSS will likewise help grow the benefits subsidize as per See.
